If your hair coloring is disastrous, especially if it is too dark or the tone is not to your liking, don’t panic. There are a number of ways which you can lighten it.

Some have suggested diluting bleach with water for a quick fix. This is not recommended as it is too harsh and your skin may develop allergic reactions. The bleach will also damage your hair.

A safe and effective an approach is to put Prell Shampoo on dry hair for 15 minutes, then rinse it away with hot [not burning hot] water. For faster fading, add one or two tablespoon of fresh lemon juice to the Prell shampoo before applying the mixture to the hair. Repeat the procedure if the hair color is still too dark.

If you have dyed your hair black or have been using permanent dye, it will be difficult to lighten the hair. You may need to repeat the Prell shampoo cum lemon juice treatment a number of times over a period of a week or so.

After each treatment, use a good hair conditioner to protect your hair as lemon has drying effect.
